Marcus Price

Marcus is well known for promoting thoughtful and dynamic ways of understanding healthcare.  He has conducted supervision and reflective- practice groups for the NHS, St.Mungos, The Salvation Army, and Turning Point to name a few. In 2016 with some colleagues Marcus founded EPIC ( The Experinital Psychotherapy Initiative Community) as an extension of his interest in helping staff develop psychodynamic skills and aimed at those who are not in a position to undergo the rigours of conventional psychotherapy training. This flexible learning is made afforded by employing experienced psychotherapy teachers working as cooperative.

Psychotherapy for Marcus has been a creative endeavour founded on a belief that relationships can be healing and transformative. That one’s responses to other human beings will inevitably carry disappointment, but within a good enough failure, the conditions for authenticity, meaning and creativity can develop, even prosper.

Marcus is also an artist with a substantial interest in making art as a process of healing, an interest brought together with psychotherapy in his publication ‘Asleep on The Volcano, The Poetic Landscape of Psychotherapy,’ which can be purchased here
